Living together benefits us all

The Montréal Charter of Rights and Responsibilities recognizes the rights and responsibilities of residents, including civic-mindedness.

Designed by and for residents, it's a kind of social contract that aims to promote responsible and harmonious relationships.

This purpose is even part of Montréal's history, as its motto, which was penned by Jacques Viger*, Concordia Salus: well-being through harmony.
